no yellow gas today

so oil is about $40 a barrel at the moment (2009 feb).
this is the lowest price i have ever seen!
yet the price per gallon is over $2.00 here on west coast of usa.
does this make any sense?!
i'm sure it makes sense to the people who are fleecing us americans.
i'm really sick and tired of being ripped off on gasoline.
and i'm not too excited about obama's rumored global warming gas tax - that could add another $1.00 per
gallon on top of that.this is the last thing this economy needs.
will you people wake up?!

blue is one

Okay, now ever since Halloween I've been having an ongoing arguement about what color the joker's shirt is in the dark knight. I say purple, like purple-grey-blue. However, others swear to me that it's blue. BLUE! Now normally by now I would have let it go, but there's 50 bucks on this. I've got a number of people who agree with me and say it's purple. Logical answer because the joker's colors never use a blue. Now I can understand why one may think it's blue, because it's dark and the darker the purple the more it resembles blue, since blue is one of the colors that make it. With that said I leave with the picture.

LATEST ONLINE BUY

Meh. General Paper today wasn't too good.

Was too tired, I was literally dragging my bum to the examination hall. And it was such an effort not to fall asleep during the paper >.< The effects of yesterday's coffee persisted til 4 am in the morning, and I slept for only 2 hours. GAH.

The essay questions were just plain weird. Woot. I did an essay discussing on the suitability of substitutes for fossil fuels. I think I laundry listed a whole lot of crap before my thesis statement emerged at the last paragraph >.< GAH. I always forget to put the idiotic thesis statement at the front. I mentioned solar power, hydroelectric power and nuclear power, which was like what everyone wrote if they had choosen that essay topic. Haha. I think I screwed up the essay part, mainly because I didn't have time to proofread because I ran out of time >.< hopefully the Comprehension part can pull me up!

And Gab, if you're reading this, thank you so much for sending the link for cloning to our class Y!Group! Seriously, if I do well for AQ, I owe you one :D Haha.

I just woke up from a nap of 3 hours! Haha. Now to do a lil bit of Biology and Econs, two content subjects that look intensive in content which I have hardly started. Pity for Brina, anyone? >.< Somehow, I think I'll do real badly for the Promotional Examinations, and my allowance (and hence my disposable shopping income) will be reduced by the parents to epic proportions :( BOO. *sniffles*

OHOH. AND LET ME SHOW YOU MY LATEST ONLINE BUY :D

Goodnight

It's 2.46am and i don't really want to sleep. I should be extremely tired as for these past few days I haven't had 8 hrs sleep and have been helping (working no pay) a family friend. It's fun though as i'm out in London everyday and I can have a break whenever I want... go shopping, starbucks, waffle house, etc. Downside is that I have to be driven there and so my dad is putting in alot of money for petrol and congestion T__T

The summer holiday is coming to an end, around 3-4 weeks left. I can feel the pressure from school slowly creeping back. I've already decided to study hard and try to stop procrastinating, easier said then done, right? I guess my grades are fine, like i'm achieving A's and stuff, but geez my family expects the highest. Not particularly my parents, but my aunties and uncles. If I like to, for example, do my hair, I am classed as a girl who's not studious? Yeah, that's what my aunties say. That's just bs. My parents just want me to try my hardest. For me, I am content with whatever grade I have as long as I have tried my best. It's a shame that some people care way too much about "face" or whatev.

Ahh, I envy Justin... He's in HK for 3 weeks. My younger brother has lost his front tooth aha, his other tooth is nearly falling out. He looks hilarious, I pmsl whenever I see him. Yup, i'm jumping from one topic to another haha, I'm just writing down anything coming into my head =]

Oh, it's 3.19am now... I should sleep. Knowing my parents, they'll wake me up 10 minutes before we go somewhere and therefore I will have to rush like crazy.

Goodnight =D

4 character domains

4 character domains are getting more expensive.
they are all taken up. http://www.sxvg.com
just like the 3 character ones (that are going for about $10,000)-
you will see the 4 character ones dramatically increase in value.
the wonderful thing about this virtual real estate is that it's global.
no matter what kind of economy. the short domain is great for any business,
as you can make lots sub-domain with certain keywords out of these.
look for all these to appreciate in value greatly.

gen0cyber credit helper!

a few easy credit card / credit score tips:

1st) you need to know your scores. get a 3 in 1 deal so that you get
all three reports / scores. (Equifax, Transunion, Experian).

2nd) compare all the data. some of the bureaus will have conflicting info.
if you see something unfavorable on any of them - dispute it until it's off.
*hint* if it's from a collection agency and is close being 7 years on it - let it
go. it will eventually fall off on the 7th. otherwise you will remind them of your debt and
they will add some time onto it (like the actual day / year when they purchased the collection debt.
could add a few years. plus they will run your credit every now and then to force your score lower).

3rd) never cancel old credit cards. unless you have like 10 late payment history on it lol.
otherwise, use them - stay an active consumer. keep the balance at least 33% below the credit line.
try to use the old ones, instead of getting new credit. every time you run a hard credit check - it lowers your score.
so, use it wisely.

4th) always pay on time and more than the minimum (even if it's just $5).
you want to keep the history alive long-lived and positive. don't pay it all off...always leave some on
to keep it alive. if you feel you're getting a bad deal on rates or want more credit - call them or do it online
at http://www.credit-asap.com

in these hard credit crunch times you need all the help you can get - make it count.

good luck from gen0cyber

Sooo...I baked Sharon a cake for her birthday and saved a bit to make Tygre one too..
Last night Ehriz had a shoot for a commercial..we didn't get out of there til 1 am. I'm now at work and still really tired. We met a bunch of neat people at the shoot. This girl Rie showed me her sketchbook and I loved it. It was so neat and weird. We hung around mostly with Grace and Darrien though. They were really cool.
The best way to stay connected with your friends is through a social network like this:
http://my.mashable.com/vowi
You will always be upto date on all their fun.
Uh...pointless post I guess.
God help me. I'm so hooked onto buying stuff at sgflea, it's not even funny >< I'm broke. And guess what? I cleverly dropped my dad's camera, which chipped at the side near the battery flap. Now the battery flap can't close and I'm royally screwed. Let's hope that my dad doesn't find out until I get enough money to buy a new one ><
ANYONE THAT HAS/ KNOWS SOMEONE WITH A SECOND HAND KONICA MINOLTA E323 CAMERA WHO IS WILLING TO SELL IT, PLEASE LET ME KNOW!!!
blogging

On another note, my project group has finally decided to centralise our focus on autistic children. So, for the sake of research and getting to know autism better, are there anyone who can tell me more about it? Information on the internet is all and nice, but I really wish to know the human side of autism.

Ohoh, and I did something really dumb. Here's what happened.

Dr Yam: Ok, look into the microscope and tell me the differences you can see in the seeds in there
Brina: *peers into microscope* Uhh, nice cells :D
Dr Yam: ... It's a small magnification, you can't see cells.
Brina: *is mortified*

HAHA.

I GOT THE PROPOSAL FROM SRP!!!! :D:D:D:D *dances*

Thank you to all those who wished me luck! Allow me to tell you about my really pathetic lack of sense of direction.

I left school at 1.30 in the afternoon, my interview timeslot was at 4. HAH. I GET TO MISS GP LESSON. PAH, GP TEACHER, I THINK YOU SUCK AND I DON'T LEARN ANYTHING FROM GP BESIDES LEARNING HOW TO PICK AT MY NAILS :D

Uhh. I digress. Coming back to the topic, I left school at 1.30, with my head spinning of the respiration process we were learning in Biology. (GAWD. ANOTHER MITOCHONDRION AND I'LL POP MY CLOGS ><) Anyway. So, after a bus and mrt ride, I got to the Botanic Gardens! :D And I thought that the hard part of my journey was over. Little did I know that it was just starting...

So.Brina entered the Botanic Gardens through this gate called the Tanglin Gate. And I asked a staff member "Where is the Botany Library?"

Staff member pointed into nearby horizon and said it was on the other end of the Botanic Gardens. Brina sighs. Brina sulks at long distance of walking needed, then decided that it was best to start walking. She walks, and walks and walks. Then, after half an hour, she got to the other side of the Botanic Gardens (the place is bloody huge, omgomg><) She realises that there was no sign of a library. So, she decided to ask for help again. The staff member that she approached told her that THE BOTANY LIBRARY SHE WAS LOOKING FOR WAS AT THE ENTRANCE OF THE TANGLIN GATE. APPARENTLY, BRINA WALKED THE WHOLE OF THE BOTANIC GARDENS FOR NOTHING. AHHHH.

Currently I find myself becoming quit giggly and going "teehee". Friday is almost here, which means I'll get to meet the man I've never stopped having feelings for. They've been lingering in the back of my mind, even if I did date around. Nothing else really compares. I didn't think anything would come out of how I felt so I kept my thoughts buried away, thinking he didn't feel the same. I've been wrong this whole time, and it's a pleasant surprise. We've been talking on the phone again and it seems like nothing has really changed between us, at least from my perspective. In fact, I'm looking forward to a certain phone call tomorrow night. Oh, how I've missed this feeling. This is where I teehee and giggle like a schoolgirl.

I had a really long & tiring late week/weekend. Sorry for not commenting as much, but I did just finished up on reading all your guys' entries.

Friday was my day off & I (finally) took my car to get my oil changed. I was too lazy to do it myself & also, the night before my check engine light came on & when I looked under the hood I couldn't find a damn thing wrong with it. Long story short, engine, good, computer system bad, and oh, p.s. I'mstuckwithastupidrentalcaruntilmondayorlater.

Apparently, the passenger side airbags aren't working. And because of that, my seatbelts won't lock if I get into an accident, thus more than likely causing me to violently and in an unfashionable matter to exit my vehicle through the windshield.
Thailand Travel hints

-It's hot year round in Thailand so whenever you visit, prepare for summer...seriously!
-Remember to go to a spa/salon and get your hair did. It'll only cost 3 bucks for a shampoo and a sleek blowout. About 5 bucks for a mani/pedi. 8 bucks for an hours worth of massage. But be careful and look around for the good deals, if they know you're a foreigner they're less likely to give you a discount so act like you're a regular. Also, some of these bitches don't have licenses to be a barber etc...so watch out!
-Eat A CRAPLOAD of food, it tastes better than the shit we have here in Cali, you won't regret it.
-Speaking of eating, try to eat ice cream everyday. Their Baskin Robbins is the shit!
-Stock up on make-up, clothes, shoes, accessories, lingerie...again, it's cheap.
http://www.insurance1.info/car-insurance
-There's ALOT of Hello Kitty stuff there, and there's also ALOT of FAKE Hello Kitty stuff there, I hope you can tell the difference.
-Buy some basic silver jewelery pieces and find someone who custom makes designs for them, it's awesome!
-The artwork there is fantastic, get some to decorate your room with.
-TAKE LOTS OF PICTURES BITCH!!! Also get them developed in Thailand, it's cheaper than it is here.
-Stock up on Pocky, it's 50 cents to a dollar a box.
-Try not to get kidnapped/raped.
-If a rich guy asks you to marry him because he wants a green card, gladly accept, take his money, and divorce his ass. After that, marry his hot son.
-There's a 7-Eleven on every damn corner of Thailand, make use of this for emergencies and breakfast.
Blogs and Orange Cats!

Blog search engines
Several blog search engines are used to search blog contents known as the blogospher, such as blogdigger, Feedster, and Technorati. Technorati provides current information on both popular searches and tags used to categorize blog postings.
There are various types of blogs, and each differs in the way content is delivered or written.
By media type
A blog comprising videos is called a vlog, one comprising links is called a linklog, a site containing a portfolio of sketches is called a sketchblog or one comprising photos is called a photoblog.Blogs with shorter posts and mixed media types are called tumblelogs.
An Artlog is a form of art sharing and publishing in the format of a blog, but differentiated by the predominant use of and focus on Art work rather than text.
Blogging Communities and Directories
Several online communities exist that connect people to blogs and bloggers to other bloggers, including BlogCatalog and MyBlogLog. A collection of local blogs is sometimes referred to as a Bloghood.
Blogs can also be defined by which type of device is used to compose it. A blog written by a mobile device like a mobile phone or PDA is called a moblog.A blog can be private, as in most cases, or it can be for business purposes. Blogs, either used internally to enhance the communication and culture in a corporation or externally for marketing, branding or PR purposes are called corporate blogs.
Genre Many blogs provide commentary or news on a particular subject; others function as more personal online diaries.
Some blogs focus on a particular subject, such as political blogs, travel blogs, fashion blogs, project blogs, niche blogs, legal blogs (often referred to as a blawgs) or dreamlogs.
